Sayed family has extended their gratitude to the community for their condolences on the recent passing of a remarkable humanitarian, Br. Abbas Sayed of the Saaberie Chishty organization.
Many have also sent messages of appreciation for his selfless work he did for the benefit of others.
“We are deeply saddened by this loss and thank you for your support and prayers during this difficult time,” a spokesman for the organization, Moulana Sayed Yusuf, said.
Br. Abbas Sayed was described as a person who had a “remarkable personality with a warm spirit of generosity” who elicited joy and hope to all those that knew him.
He strived to serve the community for over 50 years. Saaberie Chishty predominantly serves the destitute and underprivileged communities.
In a moving tribute, Moulana Sayed Yusuf added: “He was the epitome of harmony and unity and always assisted others in any way that he could. He was affectionately known as a selfless humanitarian and the pillar of the Saaberie Chishty Society.
“He was an example of an extraordinary man who will be missed by all. He will always be remembered as a super being who was always willing to do more than he needed, to help wherever he could, purely for the pleasure of Allah. Society has lost a precious gem who humbly touched the lives of so many people and always gave without expecting anything in return.
“It is unquestionably impossible to fill the void that is now present by the legacy that Abbas Sayed has left behind, but we will most definitely try our level best to follow the pathway that has been beautifully paved. May the Almighty grant us all the strength and means to continue the excellent work of our Marhooms.
“May the Almighty bless him and reward Abbas Sayed for all the good that he has done and may light fill his grave as he continues reaping the rewards from all those that remember him in their prayers.
“Once again we are grateful for all the kindness, support and compassion extended to our family and society. Please continue to pray for us as we heal and move forward,” he said.
