Al-Qalam 
Young people from the MYM Ambassadors for Change took time out from their school holidays to spend an exciting morning at Settlers Home for the Aged in Umbilo, Durban, recently.
The programme was fully organised by the youth to coincide with the Week of the Aged.
The day’s programme included occupational games, bingo and movement exercises. Laughter and smiles lit up the room.
At the end of the programme, tasty eats made by the group were served. Gift bags were also handed out to the elderly who showed their gratitude and pure joy at having met young people with compassion and care.
The staff was most appreciative to have been included in the programme.
