I join billions of people from across the world and across religious and social divides in conveying my condolences on the sad passing of His Eminence Pope Francis. His life was an articulate testament to service to humanity. He united people of all faiths in constructive dialogue to foster social cohesion, peace, and humanity.
His passing comes at a time when the world, more than ever, needs his wise counsel and gentle presence.
The Jumma Musjid and the Dennis Hurley Centre share a collective goal in serving humanity, and we share a bond of brotherhood spanning over a century with the Emmanuel Cathedral, which is a neighbour to the Jumma Musjid.
His efforts to build bridges between people of different faiths and promote interfaith understanding will be remembered and cherished
His passing is a colossal loss for the world. His commitment to dialogue and cooperation with people of all faiths inspired many and will continue to do so.
His Eminence, Pope Francis, has served humanity and left an indelible mark, spreading light and love to our troubled and deeply fractured world.
