The Media Review Network (MRN) joins hundreds of organisations and millions throughout the world in solidarity with the Palestinian struggle for freedom and justice against the Zionist settler colonial occupiers.
This year’s Al Quds Day is commemorated against the backdrop of the ongoing Gaza Genocide, a thinly veiled attempt by the Zionist settler colonial entity to erase Palestinians from the Gaza map.
The settler-colonial regime has committed incremental genocide for the past 75 years, necessitating the Resistance factions in Gaza to attempt a daring jailbreak from the Gaza ghetto.
The genocide and ethnic cleansing which has followed have been ably supported by the colonial West, without which Zionist impunity would not be allowed to go on unchecked.
They have massacred the innocent with impunity, plundered Palestine’s resources, bombed their homes, and are attempting another ethnic cleansing of its people from the land they’ve lived on for over a thousand years.
Despite the widespread death and destruction, it warms the heart that Hamas, Islamic Jihad in Gaza, the Houthis in Yemen and Hezbollah in South Lebanon have shaken the vice-grip of the racist, colonial-settler entity for almost 6 months and shown no sign of being weakened.
According to the Israel newspaper Maariv, 750,000 Israeli Jews have permanently emigrated, with another million having dual citizenship ready to emigrate to European and American destinations.
Al Quds Day is a call to justice, a call to fight for true and meaningful liberation in all of Historic Palestine. It is a call to support the Resistance factions politically, economically and militarily as they engage in a war of liberation against the last bastion of settler colonialism in the world.
International solidarity weakened the apartheid regime in South Africa and is also weakening the Zionist regime occupying Palestine. What is now needed is support for resistance efforts against the settler colonial entity.
We at Media Review Network have long supported the resistance efforts and call upon all solidarity organisations and individuals to make their support public.
Zionism and the Zionist entity cannot be allowed to exist in the community of nations.
