Al-Qalam in association with the Afro-Middle Centre will be hosting renowned Palestinian author, journalist and activist Ramzy Baroud in Durban where he will launch his latest book – “The Last Earth: A Palestine Story”.
Baroud, who is also the editor of Palestine Chronicle and a widely syndicated columnist, will discuss his latest book and take questions during the interactive session. Baroud has authored a number of books on the Palestinian struggle.
The Last Earth: A Palestine Story chronicles life in modern Palestine through the memories of those who have lived through the decades of war, exodus, migrations and the search for individual and collective identity.
The event takes place at the Suleman Lockhat Auditorium (222 Kenilworth Road, Overport, on September 19 at 6.30pm. All are invited.
Baroud has a Ph.D. in Palestine Studies from the University of Exeter and is a
Non-Resident Scholar at Orfalea Centre for Global and International Studies,
University of California, Santa Barbara.
