Chicken Akhnee

Ingredients

1 chicken disjointed 

150g Osmans Fried Onion

3 big tomatoes – liquidised or grated

2 cups Osmans Taj Mahal rice 

3 potatoes 

3 teaspoon Osmans Extra Special Chilli Powder

1 teaspoon Osmans Dhania Jeera Powder

1 teaspoon Osmans Jeera Powder

Whole spices – 

10g Osmans Whole Jeera

3 Osmans Cinnamon sticks

3 Osmans Elachi

3 Osmans whole black peppers

3 Osmans cloves 

Directions: 

Braise whole spices in oil and ghee.

Add chicken with 1 tsp Osmans ginger garlic Paste and then add:

2-3 tsp salt

3 level tsp Osmans chillie pdr

1/2 tsp Osmans turmeric

1 tsp Osmans dhania powder

1 tsp Osmans jeera powder

Braise well and add  tomatoes

When the tomatoes are done, add 4 cups boiling water, potatoes and rice.

Mix and cook on low

When the water dries a bit add fried onions on top and dhania and put in the oven to steam at 180 degrees Celsius.
